By purchasing or contracting to use the platform through monthly subscriptions (Content Owners), connecting the platform to your Patreon account (Content Owners), accessing and logging into the platform through Patreon OAuth (End Users), using the features available on the platform and/or communicating with us through our contact details and providing us with personal information to communicate with you, you consent to our collection, storage, and use of your information on the terms contained in this privacy policy. You may withdraw your consent anytime by sending us your request through our contact information.

3. Types of information Collected

The information we collect from our users helps us continually improve the platform’s user experience. These are the types of information we collect:

Information you provide to us. You provide information when you purchase or contract the use of the platform through monthly subscriptions (Content Owners), connect the platform to your Patreon account (Content Owners), access and log in to the platform through Patreon OAuth (End Users), use the features available on the platform and/or communicate with us through our contact details and provide us with personal information to communicate with you. As a result of those actions, you may provide us with the following information:

Content Owners

• Patreon account information
• User content (content provided through Patreon or direct upload)
• Billing information (name, email, phone, etc.)

End Users

• Username
• First and last name
• Email Address

Patreon Integration: Content Owners have the option to connect their Patreon account with our platform. This connection facilitates the management and sharing of their Patreon content. In addition, End Users can access our platform using Patreon's OAuth authentication. This method allows users to efficiently access exclusive content from Content Owners on Patreon. By using this feature, users consent to our platform obtaining the necessary information from their Patreon profile for the authentication process and access to content.

Contact Information: We may access personal information about the user, such as name and email address, when the user or any third party communicates with us through our contact information. Personal information provided through our contact information is not stored on any Comic Viewer server and will be stored on the respective server of our email service.

4. How long we keep your Data

Personal data provided by users through the platform will be retained for the time necessary to provide the functionalities available on the platform, fulfill the legitimate purposes described in this policy, or until the user requests the deletion of their data. Comic Viewer may retain personal data for a longer period provided the user has consented to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, Comic Viewer may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period provided that this is required for compliance with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, deletion, rectification, and data portability cannot be asserted after the retention period has expired.

5. How we use your Information (Legitimate Purposes)

• Protect, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activities.

Hosting Services: This platform is hosted through services provided by Linode, LLC. By using our platform, users acknowledge and agree that their data and information may be stored and processed through Linode's systems, in accordance with their privacy policy and terms of service. We are committed to using Linode's services to ensure maximum security and performance of our platform, while respecting the confidentiality and privacy of our users' data.

Business Transfers: If Comic Viewer creates, merges with, or is acquired by another entity, your information will likely be transferred. Comic Viewer will send you an email or post a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.

Protection of Comic Viewer and Others: We release personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our terms and conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Comic Viewer, our users, or others; this includes exchanging information for fraud protection and credit risk reduction with other companies and organizations.
