2. How do you obtain my Consent?

By purchasing or contracting to use the platform through monthly subscriptions (Content Owners), connecting the platform to your Patreon or SubscribeStar account (Content Owners), accessing and logging into the platform through Patreon or SubscribeStar OAuth (End Users), using the features available on the platform and/or communicating with us through our contact details and providing us with personal information to communicate with you, you consent to our collection, storage and use of your information under the terms contained in this privacy policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending us your request through our contact details.

3. Types of information Collected

The information we collect from our users helps us continually improve the platform’s user experience. These are the types of information we collect:

Information you provide to us. You provide information when you purchase or contract the use of the platform through monthly subscriptions (Content Owners), connect the platform to your Patreon or SubscribeStar account (Content Owners), access and log in to the platform through Patreon or SubscribeStar OAuth (End Users), use the features available on the platform and/or communicate with us through our contact details and provide us with personal information to communicate with you. As a result of those actions, you may provide us with the following information:

Content Owners

• Patreon account information
• SubscribeStar account information
• User content (content provided through Patreon, SubscribeStar or direct upload)
• Billing information (name, email, phone, etc.)

End Users

• Username
• First and last name
• Email Address

Patreon and SubscribeStar integration: The integration with Patreon and SubscribeStar allows Content Owners on our ComicViewer platform to connect their Patreon and/or SubscribeStar account to facilitate the management and sharing of their Patreon and SubscribeStar content. This connection provides an efficient way for Content Owners to sync their content and manage it directly from our platform. In addition, End Users have the option to use Patreon and/or SubscribeStar OAuth authentication to access ComicViewer. This authentication method not only simplifies the login process, but also allows users to efficiently access exclusive content from Content Owners on Patreon and SubscribeStar.

By using the integration functionality with Patreon and SubscribeStar, users consent to our platform obtaining and processing the necessary information from their Patreon and SubscribeStar profile to perform the authentication process and enable access to exclusive content. Specific data that ComicViewer may access and query through Patreon and SubscribeStar permissions includes, but is not limited to, the following information:

• Content Provider Profile: ComicViewer can read content provider profile information, including details such as user name, profile description, and published content.
• Content provider subscriptions: Information about the content provider's active subscriptions, including details about subscribers and subscription levels.
• Subscriber information: Data about subscribers, such as name, payment history and subscription preferences.
• Subscriber payments: Detailed information about payments made by subscribers, including amounts, dates and payment methods.
• User profile: User profile details, such as name, email address, and active subscriptions.
• User Subscriptions: Details about the user's active subscriptions, including subscription levels and dates.

ComicViewer guarantees that all information obtained from Patreon and SubscribeStar will be used exclusively for the purposes specified in this privacy policy and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. Users have the option to revoke permissions granted to ComicViewer at any time through their Patreon and SubscribeStar settings, however, this may limit access to certain exclusive features and content on our platform.

By integrating and using these features, Content Owners and End Users agree and consent to the terms set forth in this integration clause with Patreon and/or SubscribeStar, as well as the privacy policies and terms of use of both platforms.

Contact information: We may access personal information about the user, such as name and email address, when the user or any third party communicates with us through our contact information. Personal information provided through our contact information is not stored on any Comic Viewer server and will be stored on the respective server of our email service.

4. How long we keep your Data

Personal data provided by users through the platform will be retained for the time necessary to provide the functionalities available on the platform, fulfill the legitimate purposes described in this policy, or until the user requests the deletion of their data. Comic Viewer may retain personal data for a longer period provided the user has consented to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, Comic Viewer may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period provided that this is required for compliance with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, deletion, rectification, and data portability cannot be asserted after the retention period has expired.

5. How we use your Information (Legitimate Purposes)

In general, we use the data we collect primarily to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our platform and appropriately provide the functionality available on the platform. We use the data collected through our platform as described below:

• Provide the functionalities available in the platform.

• Facilitate the integration of the platform with the users' Patreon accounts.

• Facilitate the login of End Users through Patreon's OAuth.

• Facilitate the login of End Users through SubscribeStar's OAuth.

• Facilitate visibility and downloading of Content Owner content.

• Add watermark to content downloadable/viewable through the platform.

• Respond to your comments or questions through our contact information.

• Send you related information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.

• Protect, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activities.

6.How we share Information

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share customer information only as described below.

Hosting Services: This platform is hosted through services provided by Linode, LLC. By using our platform, users acknowledge and agree that their data and information may be stored and processed through Linode's systems, in accordance with their privacy policy and terms of service. We are committed to using Linode's services to ensure maximum security and performance of our platform, while respecting the confidentiality and privacy of our users' data.

Business Transfers: If Comic Viewer creates, merges with, or is acquired by another entity, your information will likely be transferred. Comic Viewer will send you an email or post a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.

Protection of Comic Viewer and Others: We release personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our terms and conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Comic Viewer, our users, or others; this includes exchanging information for fraud protection and credit risk reduction with other companies and organizations.

7. Data breach Notifications

In the event of a security breach that compromises the confidentiality of our user’s personal data, Comic Viewer undertakes to notify those affected promptly. This notification will be made through the means of contact that the user on our platform has provided. We will take all reasonable measures to protect the information and remedy any situation that compromises the security of your data.

8. International Data Transfer

By using our platform, you agree that your information may be transferred and processed outside your home country, where data protection legislation may differ from that of your country. This is because the data may be stored on servers located outside your country. Users who provide information through our platform as data subjects have the right to access, rectify, download, or delete their information and restrict and oppose specific processing of their information.
